After graduating from Kocaeli University in 2012 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, I worked as a "Manufacturing Supervisor" in various pharmaceutical companies until 2017. One fine Tuesday morning, I handed in my resignation, and that decision sparked a journey that brought me to Australia as a student. After a brief period of English studies, I enrolled in a Diploma in Project Management to complement my engineering career.
Like many of you, I supported myself through part-time work—waitressing, childcare—and eventually pursued it professionally by earning a Certificate III in Childcare and Early Childhood Education. For three years, I worked in this field, and after securing a visa change along with full-time work rights, I finally returned to my engineering career in Australia.
Just as I felt I had reached a financial and personal success stage, I set a new challenge for myself: a career change. I completed a higher education degree in migration law at UTS, which qualified me as a registered migration agent. Driven by the motivation to make a difference in the lives of the countless migrants who have taken the same leap of faith as I did. Many of you may already know me through my work as an educational consultant over the past two years, where I have been dedicated to empowering and enhancing the immigrant community's presence in Australia.
As a migrant who has navigated numerous visa applications, I understand firsthand the challenges posed by a lack of reliable information. Witnessing how other nationalities supported one another through these processes, I felt deeply frustrated by the limited resources and support within the Turkish community—especially given our rich history and cultural heritage spanning thousands of years.
