Child Visas (Subclass 101-102-117-802-837-445)
The Child Visa (Subclass 101/102/117/802/837/445) allows children to join their Australian parent or legal guardian in Australia. This suite of visas provides various pathways for children of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens (ENZC). These visas cater to different situations, including permanent residency, temporary residency, and situations where a child’s parent is a temporary visa holder.
OVERVIEW
What the Child Visa Offers You:

-
Permanent Residency: Subclass 101, 102, 117, and 802 visas provide permanent residency, giving the child access to Medicare, social services, and full work and study rights.
-
Temporary Residency: Subclass 837 and 445 offer temporary visa options, with the opportunity to transition into permanent residency in the future.
-
Family Reunification: Reunite with your parents or guardians, ensuring children can grow up in Australia with their family.
-
Education & Health Benefits: Upon permanent residency, children can access Australia’s quality education system and healthcare services.
-
Travel Flexibility: Permanent visa holders have unrestricted travel rights to and from Australia. Temporary visa holders can travel within the visa’s validity period.
-
Support for Dependent Children: Apply for dependent children to join their Australian parent, whether biologically or as an adopted child.
