Streams:


The Subclass 186 Visa has three main streams to suit different applicants:

  1. Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) Stream – For temporary residents who have worked with their employer for at least two years.

  2. Direct Entry (DE) Stream – For applicants who have never worked in Australia or have worked for a short time but meet the skills and experience criteria.

  3. Labour Agreement (LA) Stream – For individuals nominated through a labor agreement between the employer and the Australian government.

 

Eligibility Criteria:


To apply for the Subclass 186 Visa, you must:

  • Be nominated by an approved Australian employer for a position that meets the skill requirements.

  • Hold relevant qualifications and work experience as required for the nominated role.

  • Be under 45 years old (with certain exemptions available).

  • Meet health, character, and English language requirements.

  • Satisfy Public Interest Criteria (PIC), including the relevant criteria for family members.
